Fun in Philly

We stayed with Paul's parents for the few days before our house was ready. We love spending time there and are happy it's so close! I took the girls to a lot of our favorite places....first off that big awesome wooden playground in Chestnut Hill....Bree is getting down on a granola bar and then my three little nature hunters found about a million ladybugs.

The shaded back porch is one of my favorite places of all time. I don't know about other kids, but my girls tend to be much more relaxed outside. They can be running around crazy, arguing, whining, bouncing off the walls indoors, but as soon as I get them into the fresh air, they settle and just play peacefully. Maybe it's having the option to run around and be loud that gives them the freedom to chill out...who knows. Whatever it is, it works, and I loooooove not having to come inside when it starts raining.

Obligatory trip to Sesame Place one last time while it's still free. Note: the optimal age for enjoyment is 3-5 years old. Bree is the PERFECT height, at 43 inches. She's tall enough to ride everything and still short enough to go into the little kid areas of the dry play zones. Carly, however, enjoyed herself a lot more when she was with her Aunt Amanda and got to do ALL the "funner stuff" like face painting and arcade games. =)
Later, this is the official walking photo series. Carly helped at first but then Katie wanted to do it herself.

Whew, walking is thirsty work.
