Okay, So THIS Is Why I Don't Answer the Phone

It's not that I don't want to talk to you, I do. Well, with one or two pretty significant exceptions and one of those exceptions is the reason I felt the need to write this. You're welcome.

There are some times I like talking on the phone, it's true. They are:

1) When it's Paul calling.
2) When I'm driving.

But Liz! Talking on the phone while you're driving is SO DANGEROUS!!! Yeah I know. So basically I never like talking on the phone unless it's Paul.

I like talking face to face! At the park! Skype! Or Starbucks, or my front yard, or at Target..anywhere! If we're going to chat, let me see you! If we need to exchange information, or if you need to complain AGAIN about something over which I have zero control, do it in an email or a text. For real. I will respond quickly, and then, instead of making me repeat myself six bahundred times, you will have it right there in front of you in black and white to read over and over until you understand. That's actually how I finally extricated myself from the swamp of the neverending phone call today. I just said hey we're doing homework ("oh, you are? Well we don't do homework this late maybe you should...") and I'm making dinner right now so let me send you an email later ("Make sure you do because I don't understand why I have to wait three more days when you SAID...).

Normally I'm not a fan of interrupting because I hate when it happens to me but my WORD.

Anyway, the kids are pruny and it's 6 minutes past bedtime so maybe I should quit complaining and actually parent them. =)
