A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Bus Stop

Tell me you've seen the movie this title references.

Anyway, the baby wanted enchiladas today. As in, I woke up thinking about salsa verde and couldn't STOP thinking about it. I ate half an avocado with lemon juice for breakfast (the kind with the green skin - I like them best!). Still...enchiladas on the brain all day.

I love Mexican food normally, but like most things in pregnancy, my likes are GREATLY ENHANCED. Things I used to like, now I obsess about, like pepperoncini peppers and muffaletta spread, fresh pineapples (um, I've only bought one every other day for the last two weeks), those lime all fruit popsicles....it's insane. If I'm in the mood for sushi, a California roll is happening. Lots of wasabi. You get the point. Luckily, now that I can handle more than cheese and crackers, I generally have much healthier cravings, but today? All I wanted in my whole life was a big fat cheesy chicken enchilada with green sauce and about a gallon of fresh salsa.

So, I picked up a freezing Carly from the bus, and somehow out of the corner of my eye, I saw the El Zarape sign across the street. Somehow this tiny bit of unconscious information was trasnmitted directly to the babes, via umbilical cord I'm sure and the kid was like, DRIVE, lady, and no one gets hurt. So we ate dinner at 3:30 and it was awesome. We came home and lay down on the couch and moaned and groaned about how we ate too much of that good food and then I remembered the weird folded up receipt the waiter handed me with our check.

Y'all. It was his phone number. What??? I was at the restaurant with this big fat belly (I swear it's big, even though it's still in the "is she???" stage), TWO wild children who called me Mommy and a wedding ring for crying out loud. We were talking about Paul the whole meal, and LOUD. So either this dude is extremely confident, completely unobservant, or he's into that whole reverse polygamy thing...so crazy. And totally awkward, even though those enchiladas were most sincerely yummy.

OMG well at least it proves you still got it! Tell Paul he better be good to you 'cuz you have options. Oooh yeah the enchilada waiter is just as cool as the marine, except for the uniform of course :o)
