This is me normally. Nice, happy fish just swimming around being friendly. "Oh hi, hey, no big deal, everything's cool." Avoiding conflict whenever possible...
Today, however? After several loving, well-meaning people over the last couple of days have called my unborn child by her full, legal name...apparently I have decided that since I can't control anything else at all, I'm going to get all hung up on what people call this baby when they're talking to me. And I mean ALL hung up on it. It's ridiculous, and slightly hilarious because I can completely see the absurdity of my behavior. May you laugh at me with me? Absolutely not, sorry to disappoint. I'm just telling you all this as a warning:
CALL THE BABY KATIE, DANGIT!!!!!
(or Katie Claire...these are the only two options)
What's sad is that this is a pretty accurate representation of how I actually look right now. I'm spherical. And all spiky and grumpy. Awesome! =)

Can I call her K.C. or will that also place me in the land of persona nongrata? And yes, I do realize this is NOT the time for a joke but what can I say...
I totally get it. It SERIOUSLY rubs me the wrong way when people (especially those not particularly close to the fam) decide to call her by a nickname. Hate it!!!! That is not the name we decided she would go by. It's presumptuous. K, stepping down now :)
