We're Home!

There are cute photos which will be uploaded at a later date when I actually have the mental fortitude to get up from the couch and get the camera. =)

The circus was awesome. It was funny going to the circus and going home to read Water for Elephants.

Bree is going to do something amazing when she grows up; I've already decided it. Because right now, she needs two parents and a nanny to keep things in order. Or a lion tamer, your pick. It might actually be easier with the lions because I'm pretty sure THEY sleep. Bree just cannot sleep at MomMom and PopPop's house. She doesn't stay in the room when she's put to bed, so I had to change over and just go to bed with her at 8pm and get kicked and poked and bounced around for four hours until she finally settled down around midnight. Then she woke up at 4am. The first morning, she dumped out my makeup kit, saying "Oopsie" before the stuff even hit the ground and while I was picking that up, she crawled back on the bed (singing the Clean Up, Clean Up song from Barney) and emptied out an entire brand-new bottle of nail polish I'd gotten for Valentine's Day (Essie Hot Chocolate - so pretty, breaks my heart) on her legs and the throw blanket we'd spread on the comforter. Thank goodness for that. And the fact that nail polish comes out of the carpet. God bless us.

We went to Wegman's on the way back. They have little machines where you can print out little barcode stickers for produce. I love that because I can see how much my food is actually costing me BEFORE I look at the receipt. Anyway, I let Carly poke in all the numbers and then gave the sticker to Bree to apply. She ended up wearing all of them wrapped around her arms, but the lady just scanned the codes right off Bree's arms, which we all thought was pretty awesome.

Then Carly did her last set of homework in her current reader which is about George Washington's special barn. We're going to go to Mt. Vernon tomorrow to check it out. It's free on President's Day so I'm sure it will be a mob scene, but whatever. Crowds of the kind of people who would drag their kids to Mt. Vernon on their day off aren't the worst thing I can think of. =)
