Sorry!

We (finally) got a new computer! Of course I asked to have the photos switched over and they've appeared in Picasa but I cannot find them to upload. Pretty much anyone who (still) reads this little blog has seen the adorrrrable photo on Facebook of Carly and Paul before they left for the Daddy-Daughter dance last Friday. This is afterward. Bree and I watched Toy Story 3 while Paul and Carly were gone and we were almost to the end of it when they came home. I love this because they look SO much like him, and I think it's easier to see when they're all sitting together.
Bree is wearing her new spring coat in this photo...and she is also, coincidentally, wearing it right this very second in her bed over her footie pajamas. I don't blame her. Khaki, double breasted with white polka dots and the sweetest little ruffle on the hem...I sort of want one for myself. =)
We celebrated Valentine's Day on Saturday because Paul had to leave really early on Sunday for training in Fort Sill (more on that later). The girls each got these swishy tutus I bought the day after Christmas, cute t-shirts and a pretty bouquet of daisies. We also gave them conversation hearts that I forgot to give them last year but since they were a year old they were sort of gross and nobody wanted to eat them. =)
They spin until they fall over. SO cute!!!
Bree's shirt is Olivia, her total favorite ever, and it says "Every day is a big day!" I think that is perfect for a two year old. Every day SHOULD be big! And when you're five, every day should be awesome! Especially if you are my five year old. Haha, we don't do boring. =)
She totally fell over after this spin - you can see she (Carly) is way back on her heels.
After spin class ;) we worked on Valentine's for Carly's class!
I got this (for myself) for Valentine's Day and I love the cheery scent. We've been having cozy, warm-scented candles for months now, and I was ready for something with a little spring in its step. Coach Poppy to the rescue! I love it. Bree does too as evidenced by her spraying it on all her Barbies while I was in the shower...so I've had to start storing it on the top shelf of my closet. That (awesome) kid is going to be the death of me, I swear it.
Then Monday when Kenzie-baby came to visit we went outside for about ten glorious minutes! It was 47 or so and sunny, but the wind was a little much for Kenz, especially since she was just getting over a cold. Oh my WORD but it was SO FABULOUS to be outside!!!
Monday night we dropped off our broken carpet shampooer and then I let the girls choose where we were going for dinner. They wanted to go to Ikea...weird, but whatever. We had smoked salmon and lingonberry juice and watched the cute little educational videos in the kid section of the cafe and then went and sat on all the couches in the display section. Bree made us dinner in each of the display kitchens, then we played on the little toys they have set up. Fun times!

I cracked the code on keeping Bree happy (or at least somewhat contained) during Carly's swim lessons. Food, and lots of it. She had two oranges, a fruit twist thing, cheese crackers, pretzels and an apple...in half an hour! She's wearing a shirt we totally bought for spring, but I could not wait for her to wear it. The sun is shining! Nevermind that it's 40 degrees and windy - this is why we have layering. =)

Okay, a few more things. Sorry for the HUGE post. =)

1) We got a new computer! I keep saving for a front-loading washer and dryer and I keep having to spend it on other stuff. Luckily the washer and dryer we have work just fine, unlike our other, very busted laptop. We now also have the $2/mo electronics endorsment on our renter's insurance. ;)

2) Carly has been having bellyaches for nearly three years. For the longest time I just took her doctor's advice and recommendation that it was a problem Miralax could fix, but the light finally came on and I cut gluten out of her diet completely and the bellyaches went away. We have an appt with the doctor to talk about it. I don't think a diagnosis is all that vital since we've solved the problem, but I do want it in her file in case its important for some reason later.

3) Paul is in Fort Sill for the next couple of weeks for training. The last time he was there was during our whirlwind courtship...and you wanna know the sweetest thing I have ever heard? He doesn't remember where the gym is. Or the commissary, or where the classrooms were. This man, my man, who had this book of hundreds of baseball cards memorized when he was ten and can still tell you who card number 65, or 223, or 164 is...he didn't retain any of the stuff from his time in Fort Sill. Come to think of it, he learned some reallllly important stuff about some realllly big dangerous guns during that time, so maybe I should be a tad more concerned and a little less gloaty and sparkly that he forgot everything because of me...
