Making Up For Lost Photos =)

It has been pointed out to me - several times - that Bree doesn't have nearly as many photos as Carly did. I'm about to fix that. But first, some food. This is our dinner from Tuesday (I think)...it was, um, so good. Carrots, onions, mushrooms, bok choy, broccoli, orange bell peppers with ginger and garlic (what you see on top). I let it hang out in a splash of rice wine vinegar, soy sauce and sesame oil while the chicken cooked then I stir-fried it (guess I need a wok in addition to a crepe pan, haha) for just a few minutes in two batches - one regular for the kiddos and another with hot peppers for the gorwnups - and tossed it with toated sesame seeds. We had it over cellophane noodles. BIG hit. We're having it again this week, but with beef.
This is the inside of that ridiculous cake. It's yummy, but my crepes were too rubbery. Didn't stop Paul from eating whatever was leftover from book club, though. =)
Okay, it's Bree time!
We came home from somewhere to find a plate of cake from our neighbor friends on our front porch. There had been four pieces when I went into the shower. When I came back...this. She's waving her hands to get the icing off. I'll be finding random splats of sugar icing for the next three months.

Then, later in the week. Maybe Thursday? She dressed herself in bloomers and this little crocheted hat I bought at the Oceanside farmer's market in 2006. This hat will definitely make it into the keep-forever bin. So here's Bree getting her groove on.

LOVE this face!
The definition of devious! This kid!!!
She asked me if she could paint and I told her she had to find some clothes, first. Away she goes!!!
YAY for my little camera getting the light sort of right! My little artiste just stared at the paper for the longest time.
Then she just hovered her little hands over the paint - unlike Carly who would dive headfirst into a pool of paint if she were allowed. Bree even rolled up her sleeves and everything!

She didn't like having paint on her hands, so she was doing the hand-shaking thing she'd done with icing - oh my WORD I am thankful that these finger paints come out of everything and that we have a carpet shampooer. We may not have any carpet LEFT when we leave, but whatever is there is going to be clean, gosh darnit.
She disappeared for a minute - scary - and came back with a paint brush. =)
