Baseball and Byu-Byus

Woop! Up early for breakfast at the market!
Poor Carly and her hair. I tried a little leave-in conditioner last night, hoping that would help with the craziness...but all it really did was help us achieve Crazy Hair vs Frizzy Crazy Hair. So I guess that's progress? She still looks like her mama isn't taking care of her, but she does smell good.

Okay, and this is the prayer before t-ball. I fully recognize and understand that NOBODY except me and Paul cares about the details of each of these games and you don't really need to see a million pictures of Carly looking totally cute in her little baseball pants...so I'm going to apologize in advance. She did GREAT this week! Got a good hit all the way out to second base (that's major in peewee t-ball y'all) and fielded a ball.

After T-ball, we drove out to Hammond to meet some friends for lunch at La Carreta...where both girls drank dip (Bree eventually used her hands and just skipped the sucking it off a chip nonsense)...

And Bree, once again, completely annihilated her rice and beans. Then she finished Carly's. Her belly is cracking me up in this photo! It was so BIG.

I am not a good listener. My friends told me not to change her clothes. They TOLD me...and when I saw this look on Bree's face...like, "Nuh UH! That's a FIELD fulla byu-byus." I knew it was going to be bad for this little outfit...but I was ever so thankful that I'd only paid $6 total for it at the Kelly's Kids warehouse sale 15 months ago!!!

And sure enough, 2.4634 seconds later...if that...

She got her hands on the biggest, fattest, red ripest juiciest strawberry I think I've ever seen...

Carly, too. Neither one of them were all that interested in putting berries in the basket.

While the rest of our party diligently harvested in the background (you see Avery's dad and his parents)...my two were stuffing their faces. Bree was just trying to get Carly to MOVE so she could get to the byu-byus that did not require any pulling.

Okay and THIS dress, this is the maxi dress that Carly will go on and on about if you ask her. She loves and adores this dress to no end...it was one of my treasures from earlier this week. Of course it's covered in strawberry juice now, but I've got it soaking so hopefully it won't be ruined....that would break both our hearts.

Beside the strawberry fields, there is a cute little play area and some unhappy farm animals. Those animals make me sad so there are no photos of them...even though Bree was really funny with her "HEY COW!" I loved that. It reminded me of when Carly hugged a chicken at about this age. Bree looks like such a little peanut here.

The basket had been full...

My friend Ashley has a photo of Avery last year with one little drip of juice...it's so sweet. This photo sort of makes me think it should come with parental warnings due to violence against produce. Holding three strawberries, one in her mouth, juice going all over...it's kind of scary. =)

FEAR ME

Carly, Avery and Avery's Gran being taken for a whirl.

Then Carly played the duck race with Avery and her mom and to-be baby brother or sister and her Gran.

While I filled our basket back up. =)
