I was concerned about Bree because she woke up sneezing and mis-er-a-ble. But she cleared up right around the time we got to LSU and was remarkably happy to roll around in her cushy stroller. She only asked to gee dow twice. I think my keeping up a steady stream of fig bars and apple chips helped. =) Also, Carly's hair was crazy. We tried to do something cool and it needs a little work.
My GIRL! I told her to go stand by our guide Aaron so she just walked over there and stood right in front of him. He moved to the side because I'm pretty sure she was standing on his shoes. She's got such a pretty smile in this photo. =)
That's a LOT of strollers. =) I didn't really realize how big our group was until I looked at this photo...there were a few more not pictured, too!
This boy was from another group, and Carly was explaining to him how to make the print in the sand. He had been holding it upside down. What I should have done was take a picture of her baffled face when we was telling me that he just did NOT understand how it worked.
...this little alligator who looked for all the world like he would just LOVE to take a chomp of my hand...
...some earthworms (she's explaining how you can't take one end in each hand and stretch it out and how that is only fun with gummy worms and rubber worms for fishing)...
...we took a break for this photo...Bree said "cheeeeeeese" for about three minutes. That's Grady coming over to see what the heck she's talking about.
Back to the critters. Oh fun, a giant cockroach. Carly would jump and fling her hands in the air every time that horrible thing would touch her hands. I had to laugh thinking of it going flying across the room...but the guy decided that maybe it would be best for everyone if Carly just petted the monster.
After we were done, we went to the LSU Dairy Store that I did not know existed and had some really yummy ice cream. Carly got green and gave me all the chocolate pieces.
This photo is so funny - it looks like all the light is coming from that ice cream cone. Which she stuck on her face and took down maybe twice until it was completely gone. I didn't notice until she was halfway down the cone, but she was eating the paper, too.
This photo is lifted from Katherine and her fabulous Canon Rebel. Carly was the leader of he choo-choo. Behind her are Jacob (3), Christopher (4), Grady (3), Noah (3), Brookston (almost 3). She likes being the oldest and running the show and the boys were only too happy to follow her lead. But heaven FORBID one of them get on the wall anywhere in front of her. Oh my. Good thing they didn't know why they were supposed to be behind her and they're all good listeners.

Carly and her ca-razy hair, walked all the way back holding hands with Grady...I love little friends so much! =)
*PS There was no fistulated cow. Carly was okay with that, which was good. I was sort of relieved not to have to put on a glove and touch cow barf, to be honest with you. I think I could live my entire life without ever doing that and be perfectly okay. =)
