Well, That Was Fun

I borrowed this sewing machine over a month ago and never did anything with it until today. The last time I used one of these things was nine years ago, so I had to relearn all the stuff and re-get-over all the complicated and confusing ins and outs of a sewing machine. But once all that got settled, it was pretty easy and fun, and it reminded me of one of my favorite things about being married to a city boy: any time I do something remotely crafty he's really, really impressed. So that's nice. =)

And four hours after I started, TADA! It's nowhere near perfect, but it's pretty cute! I especially love the ruffles.

That is adorable!

It is so true what you say about city boys. The first time I made a wreath for Christmas, Tom was slackjawed. Any time I do something like that, he wonders why I can do that. I don't know how to explain that when you live in the mountains and the closest store other than the small grocer's is 75 miles away, you learn to make stuff. Oh and when you don't have a TV you learn to keep your hands busy in a hurry... especially during the 8 months of winter.
