Don't worry - that's just Katherine being scary.
This is the outside of the lodge in The Shining. I was super disappointed to find that the inside is not at all the same, but the history is neat. And the weater was great - 80's breezy, with snow on the hills.

Bree wasn't so sure about all this cold white stuff everywhere.
Carly couldn't get over the snow...she kept saying "It's like summer and winter both at the same time togedder!"
After some boo-boo drama, we got a t-shirt and headed inside. Most of the rest of the group was on a four mile hike...that's about two and a half miles more than Carly can reasonably handle, especially on five days of no sleep....lucky for us, her older cousins are very sweet and played Go Fish with her.
...while Bree did her best to try and eat all the outlets sticking out of the floor.
This is Mt. Hood on our way out. Earlier in the day, there were snowboarders out there...but they must have been burning up in all their gear.

Hahahaha... that photo of K looks hillarious if you click on it! :) Aaaaand.... that is pretty darn cool about the snow! :) Oh, and I like your new sling! ;)
