Hello, milestone! This was the first time Bree grabbed a toy on purpose! This little bunny was given to us at Carly's baby shower. Carly loved it, and Bree does, too! =)
Poor Carly...it was not a fun time. We're going to have to work really hard on learning how races go...here's BEFORE the one-mile "fun" run:
And HERE is after:She fell down a couple hundred yards into it and got really confused when Daddy still wanted her to run. Now if you ask her what happens when you fall she'll tell you, "You say OW, then you gotta Keep. On. Running!!!"
But her shirt is so cute, right? During the 5K, we hung out with Kerry, the youngest of some friends of ours while his parents ran the big race. We got a lot of funny looks...he's nine or ten months old and then I was carrying Bree who is obviously NOT a newborn...we confused a lot of people! =)

Looks like you guys had fun! My best friend and I did a 5K Fun Run while her husband did the "serious" run on Thanksgiving Day. It made us feel better about eating so much turkey!
For the rest of her life she will remember that she just has to keep running. My dad always use to say, "suck it up" to me if I was hurt...so when I hurt my ankle real bad in college right before Nationals, all I could hear in my head was my dad saying, "Suck it up, Toad!"...I love Marine Dads!!! :)
