Our Super Fun Day!

This is the sticker that Amanda made for me to wear all day - so cute! And it matched the color scheme of the day.

And it was SUCH a happy birthday! I have the best friends in the world. =)

First of all, Amanda decorated the only room she could find that didn't have someone sleeping in it already! How cute!!! And it came complete with streamers, balloons and a giant sign!
Then, in the living room, there was another celebration! I am SO excited about my new straightener!!!

So, after our early morning fun party times, we headed for a balicious brunch at Yogi's bagel shop. Then, the stormy weather passed, which was GREAT and we headed to the...

...along with about eight million junior high kids! Beeda is laughing here because when I pressed the button on my camera, there were no people in between us, and in the second (literally), that it took for the shutter to click, six kids ran through that doorway. This was in the reptile house - it was NUTS! Carly still really loved seeing all the snakes and lizards, though, and she was great about not letting the bigger kids push her around.

Then on to the petting zoo! Carly put her hands behind her back when we told her to be careful because sometimes the animals can bite on accident. She is wearing her "frave-rit owfit" with the sparkly flower on the shirt. =)

And (this is especially for my superhealthy, vegetarian Flynn friend)... ONLY IN TEXAS!!!

You see the little doors that Carly and the boy are playing with? Underneath each of those flaps is a different kind of food product that comes from that part of the particular animal. There are two chickens on the other wall and one has a picture of a plate of fried chicken and the other has a plate of scrambled eggs.

Hahahahaha, I KNOW. You see that hole in the cow's tail? Yep, there is a place on the back wall where you can turn a wheel in what looks like a corn silo, to make the cow produce "manure." I am so not even joking. It's the process of how corn turns into fertilizer.

Then, onto feed the birds! I love and adore this photo!

And also Carly's face here. She LOVED feeding the birdies.

Mommy took way too many pictures, but the birds were so pretty!

She was reaching out so far! Amanda and I kept waiting for her to let go of the branch and cataplult this poor bird into the air.

And THEN! After we walked through the big indoor ape house and got to have the pleasure of watching the big silverback gorilla barf celery into his hands (ohhhh I wish I were kidding), we came outside and watched this giant orangutan getting REALLY upset that his keepers were cleaning the inside cage. If you look carefully, you can see his foot...he was banging on the door with both hands and his foot and yelling. It was kind of scary, but really funny at the same time. That was one unhappy primate.

Then, onto the best Target I've ever been to, where we found some lovely treasures including the strawberry sandals that Carly is sooo bacited to wear. Then, poor tired little napless baby fell asleep, snoring, before we even got out of the parking lot. This picture is funny, because it looks like Marty passed the heck out, too. She woke up this morning happy and chipper and asking about her sweet babysitter Kaitlyn. Beeda and I explained that Kaitlyn is at school like "the other Becky" (her sitter in New Orleans) so I think that Carly maybe thinks they go to the same school...but Carly said that "Carly goes to school with KIDS."

And then! Oh yay - THE best pedicure ever. So wonderful! And I was surprised when Amy walked in - I had been told that she had to be in Tulsa (we're still hoping she doesn't have to go tomorrow) to lay the smack down on some greedy oil people up there - and there she was! Hooray!

I heart OPI...this is Mauve-lous Memories...because there just couldn't be a better color for this birthday! And yeah, I know my flippies are busted. But I love them.

Cutest giftwrap EVER. Amy and Amanda and I met at Ultimate Frisbee FIVE YEARS AGO last Sunday. On the other side, it says "Lame Gift In A Frisbee" but hello, the frisbee itself - how cute and thoughtful! - would have been gift enough. I have the best friends!!! =)

Then onto the "next destination" which was - obviously - Central Market for some balicious dinner with friends. Next to me (it's a terrible picture, but I was laughing!) is Rachel, Amanda's sweet roommate, then Amy and her husband Allen. He is the one who finally figured out that my camera does have the delay feature...so that was great. =)

Then a tired Liz and my yummy birthday cake!

Thank you for a perfect birthday, Amanda! I cannot believe that you planned all that stuff and didn't tell me any of it! I had the BEST TIME!!! And it was sooo wonderful to spend some time with my two favorite Texans. ILY! =)

Your friends are the best! Myself included, ha ha. I LOVE the frisbee idea and what could be better for than a target gift card! Lame? I think NOT. Glad you had so much fun even though Paul wasn't around - AGAIN.
