Nature Walk

It was about the perfect weather, a tiny bit muggy and warm, but there was a nice breeze to cool things off...and...this is where we went! After getting a TON of information from the ranger, we took a walking trail. It was an out-and-back, .9 miles EACH WAY. Carly did great - it took us about 30 minutes to get out to the end (lunchtime photos) and then about an hour and half to get three-quarters of the way back. That was when she got a piggy-back ride to the car and everyone was much, much happier!
Carly was helpfully pointing out the sign. =)
Pretty girl, smelling the flowers.
Getting a closeup of the swamp...this is the bayou part...it drains during part of the year.
Pretty bridge!
Another bridge at the end of the trail. Carly was fascinated with all the water!
I like this photo because she still looks like my baby. =)
This was our view of the marsh during lunch...Carly had her normal picnic lunch of two (!) pb&j's, an orange, about six pounds of goldfish crackers and some applesauce. I guess being outside makes her hungry!
On the way home! The cup wasn't nearly as big as it looks here!
Okay, we obviously took WAY more photos than I put up, including some really cool wildlife (aka lizards and dragonflies) ones, but I'm going to try and send you to our Picasa web album instead of posting all the photos. So, cross your fingers and click RIGHT HERE to see if it worked!
