Before we get started - this is Carly as a cute little bumblebee last year. My friend Michelle picked this costume up for me last minute because I was not finding anything that worked out.
Okay, so the story? We had a slight, um, wardrobe malfunction with the Cavegirl costume. Namely, the furry leopard print fabric scares the heck out of Carly and she bursts into tears every time she sees it. So here I was, two hours before the party and my little girl has nothing to wear. Lucky for me, Kalyn SAVED THE DAY and rushed into the store and picked up this outfit which ended up being so stinking cute - I can't imagine that my first two picks, as original and creative as they were, could have matched up with the kiki cat.
The cutest ladybug in the history of Halloween.
Kiki from the back - I love the criss-cross with the velour and the little tail! So cute!
Carly's signature excited dance. =)
The Kiki Cat dance!
Meeee-OW! With a jump!
Hm...if I dodge to the left and then to the right and go really quietly, I bet I can steal another one of those black licorice sticks before my mom notices.
Princess Marina!
Andy was in his Thomas the Tank costume for about ten seconds until he ripped it off. Carly found it later and it had to be pried from her sticky fingers. =)
Girlfriends
This is Patrick as YODA! Awesome it is.
I love this one, too, Kalyn! Were they hunting for bugs?
Then Logan arrived with his mama, Brooke!
Sweet little (BIG) baby Mason! He's 18 pounds at 4 months old and he's very proud of his new eyebrows. =)
The painting station.
Michelle smiling while silently cursing me for supplying a bunch of toddlers with paint.
Brooke and her SPECTACULAR hat with her handsome little guy, Logan.
The little artiste Mackayla. She got the prize for the Best-Dressed-As-Yourself-Costume because she's been in her Halloween costumes a lot in the last couple of weeks.
It may just be me, but I swear my friends and I have the cutest kids.
I put rice in the water table and the kids had a blast pouring it all over the place! The jury's out about whether rice was a good idea...a lot of it ended up being swept into the grass and I'm kind of worried about having a bunch of overstuffed bird carcasses laying all over the grass tomorrow morning because I decided against having a bunch of pinto beans wedged up little noses.
Peazee (Carly's new name for her BFF) and her cupcake. See how her fingers match her antennae?

Hopefully (hint) I'll get access to some of the other photos that were taken at the party so we can see some pics of Princess Ashley and Superbaby Lauren, my (two) neighbors who came and The Baby Matt who was an adorable little pony.
