This is going to be long and/or boring...so I broke it up. Also, Blogger is being sooo slow and I didn't feel like sitting here for four hours. Anyway, I stole this idea from a friend and this is a morning in our life! I'd love to say that today was crazier than normal, but that would not be true. =)

When the alarm went off - it was still SO dark!

When Carly started singing the alphabet at three hundred decibels from her room.

Quick email check just in case there's something from Paul. (Can you tell who my favorite email friend is?)

This is where Carly greet me every morning, perched on the side of her bed telling herself not to get down in between renditions of her favorite songs and yelling for me to come get her.

Oh! There she is! And when the shirt fits...

Helping Mommy make the bed.

Then we went downstairs to greet our pumpkin family. The scared pumpkin might be my favorite jack-o-lantern of all time. They crack Carly up. She told the mean one to be nice.

Time check.

While Carly's breakfast cooks, we do the circuit - fold some, dry some, wash some. Highly exciting I know.

YAY! Ongange JOOS and Oh-meeyo!

Yummy!

And while she eats! I know - can you contain your enthusiasm! DISHES!

My house smells like this for October:

Gotta take care of some biznass - copying the POA for our money guy.

Oh no, I'm almost out of black ink!

Do you see these adorable pants? I love them. MomMom sent them to Carly a couple of weeks ago and I've been waiting and waiting for the perfect day! And today was it! But then I couldn't find the shirt that matches. How, you may ask, does a person LOSE an entire shirt? I don't know. Really, I don't. But I looked everywhere and it has disappeared.

So I let Carly pick out her shirt. She loves this birdie shirt. And I think she looks like a rockstar with her gauchos and sunglasses and her shaggy hair. She and Marina like to BOOM off the nursing stool. If you're downstairs it sounds like the house is falling down.

Three extra outfits, because you never know how many accidents we're going to experience in the course of a day. Can you tell I'm into polka dots for Carly right now? =)

Washin' da teef. This is one of my favorite parts of our morning ritual.

Please! Let's pick SOMETHING and get that baby's hair out of her face already!

Time check - walking out the door to the commissary.

Just kidding. Pit stop first.

I love coming in the early part of the morning. There are actually baskets and stuff on the shelves! The cashiers are still nice and I'm less likely to get run over in the produce section.

Carly was distraught about not getting to bring her blanket into the store, but she was pretty happy about the car. Her bow came out while she was diving in through the window Dukes of Hazzard style.

Time check on my busted phone on the way out. I'm pretty proud of our time.

The terrifying house (and brilliant sky! I love California.) on the corner of our neighborhood. I told the girls that the eyeless ghoul hanging by chains wrapped around his neck is a silly man with no eyes and how can he watch his Ha-Bob? Silly man! But it's a scary house even then.

Run the groceries in the house. Take a moment to feel self-righteous and pat myself on the back for singlehandedly Saving The Planet by using my own bags at the Commissary. =)

Oh yeah! And these!!! I got these snacks from the bargain section of the Commissary. They are totally devoid of any nutritional value whatsoever AND there are 12 grams of sugar per serving. I never, ever buy junk like this, but Carly's on this Thomas kick and she's going to LOVE these!

....and her reaction did not disappoint. Hahaha, it's totally worth it. She sang the Thomas snacks song all the way down the highway. =)

On our way out (again) we said thank you to the man working building the houses for people to live in. These houses are flying up across the street from us.

Time check at the intersection by the gym. Do we have time to get ink before Carly's 10am gym class?

Of course we do!

At the gym with five minutes to spare. Carly loves this place.

Pit stop.

The Jumping J!!! This is Carly's most favorite apparatus in the whole place. She talks about it all the time.

Silly girl pretending to sleep with the lion.

Then - parachute time!!! Carly gets so excited when it's time to shake the parachute up and down. If you could see her face - her eyebrows are up in her hair! It's so great.

Crazy music class. It's kind of a zoo.

After gym at 12 - pick up Andy to let him burn off some steam before we're scheduled to go hang out at his house during naps so his mama can go to an appointment.

Lunch! Almond butter and honey meenatches. Carly ate two. =)

Time check on the way to the park for our picnic and runnin' around time.

Carly, multitasking playing while eating her second meenatch and Andy catapulting himself at breakneck speed down the slide. It was actually at this moment that his bottom made contact with the slide.

Messy

All clean - and changed - and hydrated! While Andy thinks he's sneaky putting the sticks on the slide!

Running to Andy's house!

Where Carly pressed her face up against the screen door! And then she made this crazy face!

Meanwhile, Andy is practicing his Abercrombie face.

Running around again! These kids and their energy - it's
infinite.
Earlier today, Andy tossed his football behind the couch. Carly was really concerned about it!

When she found out we weren't staying at Andy's house for naps. On the floor fit.

Time check when Carly was snoozing in her bed and I had the chance to sit down and upload. Like I said earlier, Blogger is so slow today, so I've been straightening and doing other exciting home tasks while the pictures have been taking their sweet time to load.

But! This afternoon! There is a trip to Henry's and some baking and some pumpkin-seed-roasting among other incredibly interesting events! =)

OMG - how long did it take to upload all those photos! Thanks, I love them all but my fav is crazy face all dirty from the screen door.
LOVE it. Did you get this idea from my friend with twins??? Did I show you her "A Day in the life"?? OMG! Umm....what else. Oh-Yes, All you need Carly to do is to rub her face on a screen for the best Caveman/woman look EVER!!! :)
P.S I am soooo totally (California girl by far) like, for sure- doing a day in the life- when I settle down from this weekend :)
I have to ask why you set your alarm cuz if you get up and are productive before Carly even gets up I will feel like even more of a loser! Ryan is SCARED of the parachute. SCAAARRREED. You know, Ryan got a enclosed trampoline...maybe Carly needs one too!
And that is my favorite candle. Ethan hates it, can you believe that?
