What Day Is It?

We are accidental geniuses, we are. We went to the Wild Animal Park at 3 in the afternoon! There was no one there! Great parking, no lines, no pushing Boy Scouts...it was incredible. This first video was as we were walking into the park and at the end, Paul is saying how much hotter (like fifteen degrees, no kidding) it was in Escondido than at our house. Amy and Amanda will be proud...Carly has our motto (I'm SO EXCITED!) down. We're still working on small claps, though. =)

This kind of creepy statue had me totally fooled - from any distance it looks just like a giraffe is sticking his tall head over the fence!

Then we (finally) found the petting kraal! The deer are no dummies...this little guy didn't move at ALL and he got all the leftovers. So funny!

Reading the duckie book at the bird show. Carly was SO funny at the bird show! Every time one would fly overhead, she'd say, "YAY Birdie!!! Bee job, birdie! You did thee good flyin'! Yay!" and clap her hands.

After the zoo, we hopped down the 15 a little more to visit Chrissie and Keith. We hadn't seen them in forever and we had such a wonderful time, as always. Carly was SUCH a trooper! She hung out until about 10, and then she and I went inside and hung out. Right before she fell asleep she sang some songs...you won't be able to see anything at all, but here is her sleepy recital...by the time I pulled out the camera, she wasn't incredibly interested in performing the whole repertoire...but still! =)
