Paul is grilling some sausages and peppahs for our late dinner - the grill is right below the window and it smells AMAZING!

Today we hopped on the Coaster to hang out in Encinitas for the day. I never realized how many cute little shops and restuarants are down there! We had such a fun time. =)
Our first and longest stop was at that great park on Encinitas and Vulcan...I think it's called Cottonwood Creek or something like that. But it is awesome.
Such a shy, timid child. Pity she has no personality.
Ever since Kay-nin took her picture like this - months ago - Carly can't resist these poses.

There you are! She went back and forth like this for about five straight minutes!
So sweet! This one breaks my heart a little. That's a good daddy right there.
I had forgotten about the water feature at this park, but fortunately it was warm enough that Carly could go in her bloomers and it was fine. She had a BLAST splashing around.
Daddy ran with her up and down the puddle.
Then the ice cream cart came and we discovered these cute little bars for like 100 calories. All about it! Carly was a huge fan.
She wasn't understanding me when I was telling her to smile, so I just told her to show me all her teeth. And this is what I got! I love that messy face.
On the see-saw! When two little boys came over, Carly hopped off and after a little protest said "Okay, boys, it's you tuhn!"
I don't know why this came out so dark...I guess I shoulda used the flash. But anyway, there is a bush full of these big gorgeous yellow flowers right outside the Lumberyard shopping square.
Headed back to the train. Carly passed right out on her dad.

So sweet! I love seeing how tiny Carly is compared to Paul.
Incidently, I recognize Paul's t-shirt. I think I might actually have it too! Good to see I'm not the only one who still goes out in my crew shirts.
