Parker, Arizona

There is a whole lot of absolutely nothing going on in Parker.
Except for a triathlon and a rodea and a parade - all in the same weekend!
The town of 1,200 is located right on the desert border of Arizona and California. The Colorado River runs a couple of miles away and some people live in pretty cute houses along the river basin...but for the most part...
The Parker Dam. It is about 17 miles from Parker and was the halfway point of Paul's bike portion of the race. For as desolate as this place is, the colors are really nice.
Like the vibrant, creepy turquoise of the water...
The view down the river toward Parker.
