Does anyone else who reads this read Kelly's "Corner?"
So...exactly how bothered are you by the fact that, in the same series that she posts opportunities for people to post photos of their laundry rooms (generally huge and sparkling clean), kitchens (generally huge and filled with top of the line appliances and giant $300 paintings of Bible verses), and master bedrooms (usually roughly the size of my house) she has an opportunity for people to post photos of their single friends and relatives, or even themselves. *shudder*
It bugs me how certain groups of society seem to think that a person has no value until they are married, or that their value is measured in what they are doing with themselves until they get married. And after that, it's like you don't exist until you have kids. Or if you're ambivalent about having kids, there must be something wrong with you...maybe I feel this way because I got married super duper early, so I don't really know what that wait feels like. But still - I can't imagine I would be all that flattered to join a meat market of people. But maybe it's just me. =)

I was bugged by her post as well. Thanks for writing this and letting me know that I am not the only one bothered by the singles post.
