The 'hood with its frosting. It is SO pretty! While I was taking these few snow pictures, Bree was battling a little bronchitis and an ear infection (we caught it at the beginning, thank goodness) so she was sad and only wanted me. I missed out on sledding and building snowmen, but there will be more snow and hopefully we'll all be healthy for it.
We did lots and lots and LOTS of homework, since we had three days off! Carly is almost through with her reading workbook and is more than ready to move to the next level. The teacher store didn't have the next level of that series and brand, and we flipped to the back of the next-level vocabulary book from the same people and Carly answered all the questions with no hesitation. She is really proud of herself, and I'm so excited for her. This next photo is one of her pages...before you think she got it out of order, let me tell you how she explained it...Billy was so excited that he got a home run that he threw everything in the air. This is definitely a keeper. =) =)
Then this morning, the kids were out of school AGAIN, and we had a bunch of neighbor friends over for a farewell brunch for one of our friends who is moving. We had six moms and thirteen kiddos....which sounds like so much more than it seemed. We had so much fun! The Jiabias aren't leaving for another couple of weeks, but morning playdates are an institution in this neighborhood and we had to include it in the list of festivities. There is also a wine night and Chick-Fil-A dinner planned.
Stella, making out with a dinosaur.
Most of our friends had to go around 11:30 but Sophia stayed for the afternoon. She and Carly set up stadium seats to watch Mama Mia while Bree danced around like a monkey.
Then we made egg carton caterpillars! SO cute and fun.
The big girls were concentrating so hard!
Oh my WORD. Okay, this little sweetheart deserves his own post, truly.
We were in Target to pick out a new night light for Carly and while we were in that aisle, Bree saw this and said, "Mommy, please I have-a the turkey light?" So of COURSE I bought it for her! It would take a much stronger woman than me to say no to that. =)
She LOVES it. She kissed it the whole time it was charging. So sweet!
This is Carly's fabulous pink chandelier nightlight. I was especially excited to see that it had one of those fun bright orange clearance tags on it. Whoop!
Then Carly made our very fancy and complicated dinner of macaroni and cheese. She's standing on a stool, but it won't be long before she is actually this tall. Can't believe how fast she's growing! Little beanstalk!
Zombie Bree. SO tired! I don't know if you can see it, but she's got broccoli in one hand and a banana in the other. She was all sweaty when I picked her up from the gym kid place, so I guess her little body needed that potassium. Or something...gosh but her little face. She is SO tired!
She loves that turkey light. Before she went to sleep, she kissed it and said, "goodnight turkey light" three or four times and then I heard her singing to it after I'd shut the door. It's sweet when a small thing can bring a kid such happiness. =)

hahaha... thought of you when I was in Target, and Paisley asked for that Turkey Light nightlight. :) Then I saw the price and told her she didn't need one anyways*! :) I did, however see the clearance tag on the other one, but when I suggested it- she told me she didn't need it afterall! :) * We use the hall light for a nightlight.
