Merry Merry Christmas!!!

Our videos aren't really getting along with Blogger tonight - but just imagine a lot of excited jumping up and down and ripping wrapping paper. =)
The girls and I love our hats from Grandma Louise! We picked out the colors and pattern this summer while we were visiting and I was SO EXCITED to open them! Bree is obsessed with Carly's new dinosaur - it was, as predicted, the gift of the day.
Damage =)
Carly and Grammy registered Carly's new "non-rainbow" (see the next post) unicorn on the Webkinz website. So exciting for Carly!
Then we went down to the firehouse and the guard station to deliver some holiday cheer to the people watching out for us.
We set out a tray of yummy cheese while we were getting lunch ready. Bree tasted the brie. Little mouse!
Because we went crazy with the appetizers, our dinner table (we didn't eat at the table) looked prrrretty much exactly like this when I packed it all up. We had a big beautiful ham, garlicky sauteed spinach, sweet potato casserole a selection of fresh rolls, green herb salad, etc etc. MomMom brought a fabulous lasagna...but no one ate the real food. We all got distracted with the salami, cowboy caviar, olives, cheeses and crackers. =)
I got this hilarious Yule Log cake from a bakery in Arlington. It was really delicious but the decorations were sort of insane. Do you SEE the axe? Right. I was sort of expecting a cake that looked like a log of wood, but the kids and Paul enjoyed eating the trippy sugar decorations.
My little elf - love her SO much!
The girls were so excited to see MomMom, PopPop and Uncle Matt! Carly and MomMom were reading one of the cool books we got to open.
One of Bree's gifts was a trunk full of dressups. Carly is too big for them, so she went to put on her Halloween costume before they broke into the gingerbread house while both grandmothers had silent fits over the giant MESS all the sugar and Nerds were making flying all over the carpet. =)
The roof came off!!! Too bad you really couldn't eat the gingerbread without risking breaking your teeth...
Before the girls headed to bed - we were ALL really sleepy!
Ah, then to end the night, Paul and Matty re-enacted the end of Rocky II.
