I had to post this photo because my child is a bean sprout. She got this dress at Christmas and at Christmas it was about an inch above her knee now it's best as a coverup because it hardly covers anything. I just love those long skinny legs, though. She's built just like her Daddy. =)
After Carly had been doing really awesome swimming - like night and day from a week ago, unbelievable - it started raining, so we went to get Bree from the childcare and had lunch while we waited for the rain to pass.
Foggy camera! Plus Bree's bathing suit is gigantic on her. She stripped it off no less than five times in between kamikaze diving off the side of the pool and trying to give me heart attacks by jumping in the kiddie area....it's only 1.5 feet deep which is right under her little nose when she's sitting down. She loves the big splash she can make, but for mama...scary!!! I'm not a fan. And of course Carly was like "Look at ME MOM!" and goes diving for the bottom of the pool right at those moments. We didn't stay out there for very long, but it was long enough for both of them to get totally wipe out and have awesome naps.
Then Sunday, we had the best day, we really did. We all got up and had a yummy breakfast outside (less mess!) then we ran around the yard for a while teaching the girls to do front rolls and laughing at ourselves trying to do handstands...then we broke out the slip-n-slide and that was fun...then the girls went down for little rests before we went to the circus.
The circus!!! It was GREAT, actually. Carly's favorite part was when the guy drove a motorcycle up a tightrope that ran directly in front of our seats. Hanging below it was some kind of metal square thing where two girls did flips and tricks...at one point the guy was up at the top of the wire and he did a handstand ON TOP of the motorcycle. I couldn't watch. His mother must be so nervous. The lions made me really sad because they clearly did not want to be doing what they guy was using his whip to make them do, but we all enjoyed the unbelievable acrobatics tricks.

Then we came home and it was too late for naps, so we fed the beasts and took them outside before the house fell down from all the crying and screaming. Here they are doing some pushups with Daddy...he's going to want to shoot me when he realizes that I posted a photo of his daisy dukes (really they have a 6-inch inseam) and old man socks. =) Carly and I ran up and down the block a few times and we learned to do bear crawls around the yard. I know our neighbors think we're TOTALLY NUTS.
