The upside of all of this is that I figured out what this mystery rash has been. Also, it's pretty funny, even if it's kind of uncomfortable and INCREDIBLY ITCHY. It might be a tiny bit TMI.
Okay, now Paul and I decided that hating our yard was kind of like when people eat crappy food and don't work out and say they hate their bodies. Minimal effort = minimal results. So we decided to see if the opposite of that was true, and gave it a little love and planted grass seed and fertilized the part that is supposed to be grass and I got in there and fully weeded the flower beds, transplanted some monkey grass and planted a few little flowers.
While I was working, I sat down near the edge of the sidewalk and disturbed a hill of nearly-microscopic, but totally vicious, ants. I didn't really notice them until they had climbed all the way inside my shorts and by that time, I had a double handful of this weird viney stuff that had worked its way under the azaleas and all around the tree.
So I bundled up that stuff in my arms, shoved it in the trash can and rushed inside to get the ants out of my pants. Literally. No, I did not wash my hands first there were really mad ANTS biting me a LOT and they had to go.
Plus I was sweaty, so after I brushed off the ants, I wiped sweat from my face and tucked my hair behind my ears...nice Liz. Of COURSE the weird viney stuff was poison ivy. That was confirmed by Paul's nature-loving coworker who was over here for dinner last night. It's all over my arms and face (lovely) so we didn't need to go into details about where else it is....
I swear to you that things like don't happen to normal people.
Anyway, like I said, the mystery has been solved, so that's good. Having really intense and inappropriately located itch attacks in public is not so good, but at least I know why my face looks like this. =)

After Keith's last BAD poison ivy Jayme recommended Sarna lotion (you can get at all walgreens). Keith said it really worked, you will smell like an old man but that is better then itching.
If it gets really bad you might need to go to the Dr they can give you a steroid shot and pills.
