Stolen Photos

Like anyone even checks our little website anymore, but just in case, here are some nice photos I stole from my friend Erin who was visiting last week. She has a really cool camera that has never been buried in sand...this is one of my fave pics of Bree ever:
It was no surprise to find that Little Miss loves heels.
...and is completely proficient in walking with them. (PS Kalyn...that's the bedspread I was telling you about).
...do not buy this for your children unless you are one of the 'cool' parents who doesn't mind discussing the specifics of human anatomy and reproduction. Erin and I sort of assumed (foolishly) that the skeleton would be as close as we'd get and that 'almost' meant the book would be a PG....but no.
And finally - so funny. Why do half my baked goods end up this way when I have company?!? I was running out the door (shocker) to ballet when these AMAZING almond flavored wedding cupcakes were finished and I burned my hand and they went flying. You can see one unlucky cupcake got stuck in the door of the oven...the rest were, as you see them, all over the floor and smeared on the cabinets. Gross! The second batch survived and were yummmmmy. Yay Jim and Pam!

Sorry, that's all the photos for now! Of course the girls have been six kinds of adorable this week, but it is what it is.

Our week has been NUTS so far. Monday, I went to a baby shower which was totally fun. Tuesday we were supposed to babysit, but I decided that it would be more fun to run into someone (everyone and every vehicle is totally perfect) and then wait 45 minutes in the rain on a median of a busy street for one of the twelve police cars that passed us to stop and assess the zero damage. Today we babysat a "little fella" as Carly called him, from 6:45-3 and then another of our favorite friends from 3-6. Tomorrow and Friday we're babysitting again (and again) and then Friday night is our five year anniversary dinner! I'm totally excited for that. It's part of the reason we're sitting SO much this week....I want to make sure that I have plenty of points to 'pay' our unbelievable sitter who has offered to stay the night on Friday so we don't have to rush back from New Orleans.

Now, since I decided that this would be the perfect week to stay up late every night reading all of the Twilight books and the sneaky partial book online (on her website, it's book 1 from the boy's perspective)...I'm exhausted and going to bed. Paul has a late meeting so I'm missing a birthday party I had really been looking forward to (Stacey and Christine, be looking for packages on your porches tomorrow morning)...but maybe for the safety of people on Baton Rouge's flooded streets, me sleeping is a better idea. =)

After I read this whole post, I will comment some more - I'm sure...but I HAD to let you know that I still ready your blog...EVERY day!!! :) I love it. I love that it has given me a chance to get to know you better...and it helps in the "kick myself" factor of why we didn't hang out more when we were in the same stinkin' neighborhood!!! :) HUGS!!!
