Pumpkin Patch and Stuff

What a great day! The weather is nothing but perfect and Paul and both girls are running around in the backyard. We have chili on the stove, pumpkin pie in the oven, football on TV...it's just about as good as it gets. =)

The girls and I started our day at an impossibly early 8am soccer game and then we went into the YMCA so I could work out. I had started a good sweat on the elliptical when one of the several old men walking on the treadmills started stinking up the place. It was horrible! So instead I went to try and kill myself in the fitness room with The Screamer (this big muscly dude who wears a shredded tank top and yells a lot during his sets). So that was fun.

By the time we got home, we had to make a decision about the Pumpkin Patch...either we were going to go without Paul or not go at all, because the place is about an hour away and closes at 5. When he says he'll be home at 2, that means 3:30...and since he couldn't just leave this one potential recruit without someone to process him, he and I decided the girls should go anyway. It made me a little sad to be there without him when it seemed like it was all families everywhere but these two crazy girls kept me running to fast to dwell on it. =)

Carly always takes a great pumpkin picture!
Bree was the hit of the day with her little monster costume (I think it was the stripey legs that did it!). I have to get a video of her walking around.
They have this big bouncy thing, like a giant inflated pillow, it's about thirty feet long (or so???) and maybe six feet high in the middle. Carly didn't really like it so much but Bree went NUTS! I brought her up there with me and she was stomping her little feet and laughing so hard. It was AWESOME! Then we went to go pick pumpkins and Bree just ran around falling over the rows.
Sisters! There were sooooo many people there but the farm is really big so we never felt crowded. See that little beast trying to escape!
Carly is so strong! She picked out her own pumpkin and carried it back to the stroller all by herself!
Perspective! So funny...Bree is on the left.
Carly decided that the 'little' bows (ie less than six inches across) are Bree's now. I think it's so cute! I mean, really, you only get about five years in your life to wear big amazing bows and these girls are going to take full advantage of that priviledge (at least while we're here). I sort of love it.
In the petting zoo, Carly held a chicken! Bree petted a goat and then tried to help it escape by pulling the rope off its color and pointing at the gate...I didn't get a photo of that but it was hilarious. I swear she knew what she was doing.
I love this random huge chicken. Carly did too.
