Morning Stories

First of all, Paul is going to have a good day today. Usually on the last night of the month, his phone is ringing until 11:30 and starts up again before 6am with recruiters getting their guys' stuff in order for the big push to sign as many guys as possible on the 1st because that's how they earn 96-ers (long weekends!). We won't talk about how Paul himself has to take leave to get a Saturday morning off to go to a soccer game...anyway, this month he instituted a new policy where all the guys had to have a complete packet "in", the something-something uploaded and all tests and trials completed by noon yesterday. He had his hands full of a lot of unhappy Marines at 12:15, but I can bet you that on the last day of this month, he won't have that problem again. At least with THOSE guys. Haha! It's a process. =)

Secondly, Carly just told me she purpled voilins on her cheesestick. She meant that she perpetrated violence on her cheesestick. She likes to ask me what her food is saying when she eats it....it all stems from this video (see below) with waffles who scream when they go into the toaster. She thought that was hilarious and she's been asking for a play-by-play from the food's perspective ever since. She also likes to know what the grass says when Daddy cuts it, what the sink says when I clean it, what the clothes say when they get ironed and what the floor says when we mop it ("ahhhhhhhh I love lavender!" in an opera voice). So...the next time you see purple violins...you can think of Carly. Haha!

And now for the video. (Turn your sound up, or if you're like me, turn it ON). Enjoy!

last night after graduation, Tony's phone rang about four times - about darn Lts - and I said, "seriously - they graduated - why do you still have to deal with their issues?"

That's funny b/c Andy asked me today, on the way home, why cars don't talk. And better yet, why on Lightening McQueen talks!
