Happenings:

1) Bree and I found and desiccated carcass of a squished frog in the middle of the garage as we were cleaning it this afternoon. I named him Crunched Kermit. He's the suburb cousin of Flat Larry.

2) I still have a way to go in the garage cleaning...every time I put Bree down she would go stumbling out the garage door as fast as she could, trying to get down the street. Some of our neighbors three or four houses down on the other side were doing some work in the garage and they were playing rasta music. Bree l-o-v-e-d it and wanted to get closer to the action. She was easier to catch than normal, though, because every few steps she would stop and dance. The fact that I didn't have my camera is just hurting me. The cuteness!

3) Carly was one tired little monkey after school. She screamed THE whole way home, drowning out our Science Fridays (they were talking about grass anyway - nowhere near as cool as luminescent squid!) and when we got home, she tried to shut the car door on my legs and then kicked the trashcan. Yikes. Once I got her flailing and dirty little body into her bed, she screamed for about two seconds and is now snoring so loud I can hear her from here.

4) That is probably because we had funder last night and the standing rule WAS that she could come sleep with us if there is funder. Well...she came into our bed around 3am and neither Paul nor I got back to sleep until around 6. Carly wasn't sleeping well either - she just had too much to say to us, or she wanted to stroke my forehead (sounds cute, but it's totally annoying) or needed more pillow room. So next storm, one of us is going to sit with her in her room.

5) We have soccer tonight - pretty exciting! Mostly b/c it means we might see Paul on the field!
