Hey everybody! We've had a fabulous week so far. My friend Erin was with us for two days and we were kind of busy, with exploring new stores in the mornings, fabulous lunches, playing with the kiddos in the afternoons and then enjoying Glee on Wednesday and The Office last night. She's in the area for a wedding this weekend and we were so happy she could spend some time with us while she's here! Paul's brother Peter and his fiancee are in New Orleans right now - they got in yesterday and Paul went down to take them out to dinner and to explore Bourbon street. Peter isn't feeling very well today, so we're hoping a day of resting up in his hotel will help to settle his stomach and he'll be ready to tailgate with Paul tomorrow! Carly has been talking about Uncle Peter and Auntie Amanda for a couple of weeks now, so I know she's excited to see them.
Okay, listen, there are lots of people who have little sites like this, and they actually WRITE, about politics and parenting and other important stuff....that's not really what I do at all so I'm not sure what to even say to you without a thousand pictures for illustrations! I just have lots of tiny little hilarious stories about my chickies, all about how they're soooo cute and soooo smart and I know if you're not related to us it might get a little old.
Like how Bree is starting to say "thank you" and "you're welcome." It's sooo adorable because if she hears anyone say "thank you" to anyone else then she'll pipe in with her little version, "dooo bum-gum" or whatever but she has the inflection just right.
And Carly this morning? She's soooo funny. After we finished listening to Skippyjon Jones In Mummy Trouble (we're a tiny bit obsessed with this leetle dude), we turned on NPR and heard about how our president won the Nobel Peace Prize. Carly was all, "WHAT?! A PRIZE?" and she demanded to know if there were stickers or cupcakes involved. She did not care about the bell. And she was so "aproud" to be able to be the one to break the news to a very excited Miss Pam in carpool.
Oh my word...okay and last night when Erin and I were getting the girls into the car after our Office wedding party Carly just looked soooo pretty and sweet, so I told her she was so beautiful and she said in her sleepy little voice, "Oh I am." Love little kids!
