Paul told me Bree is having a great time with MomMom and PopPop, and while she's off trying to dodge grownups to get to those stairs (my inlaws have a split-level house with...hold on I'm counting...six levels) and climb them as fast as possible, Carly and I have been having a little staycation here in the BR.
Yesterday we took a nap after our early morning airport trip while watching "The Rock Man" aka Fantastic Four. Then we went and got our nails did, then went to see Harry Potter, then went to smell candles at Anthropologie and browse "the kitchen store" aka Sur Le Table with is both of our favorite store. Carly got this little whisk that looks like a green bendy person on the bottom with the whisk for a "head" and I got new icing bags. The whisk is super cute and she's been wanting it forever. After that we went to ballet and then we were BOTH asleep by 8.
This morning we went to get "splendas" aka my coffee and Carly's chocolate milk at CC's then to my gym where I went to spin class and got totally smoked. From there we went to the jumpy place for an hour, then to "the place" aka (today) Zoe's Kitchen which is our new favorite place to eat. After that we went to the zoo for three hours where Carly finally got her snowcone AND got to feed the ducks and now we're waiting on the Papa John's guy while she watches Night at the Museum...her favorite movie of the moment. (Update: she's passed out, snoring! Haha!)
Tomorrow...we're waiting to see what all is going to happen, but I have an early morning meeting at her school and then my favorite consignment store is having a huge fall sale, so we might roll by to see if anything is left two hours after they open. There might be a paving stone craft in our future, or pool time, depending on the weather.
It reminds me so much of 2007 when Carly and I were out all day, every day doing fabulous fun things and we never stopped, not ever. She's having an awesome time and it's fun for me to get to just hang out with her doing whatever we feel like doing. We'll have some photos tomorrow after we retrieve our camera.
I hope your weekend is as fun as ours is! =)
