We were all up early on Sunday, so we headed out for a stroll around the neighborhood. It was chilly, but clear and beautiful. Apparently the walk put Bree to sleep...she'd been up, and LOUD, at 4:30am. We spent the first night in a loft bedroom overlooking where three other people were sleeping, and they really didn't appreciate the morning music. At least it was happy sounds, though! =)

Aaaand apparently she has red hair at 7am on Sunday morning.

Grammy kept Bree all day, and they had a great time crawling around, having snacks and singing songs. Poppy, Carly and I took off to explore the Columbia River Gorge...it was so beautiful!

This isn't as scary as it looks. =)

Someone is ready ready ready for ballet lessons!

Before we went to see all the waterfalls, we stopped to explore the fish hatchery that restocks local river with salmon. That was pretty neat, but we were in a hurry to explore the waterfalls and hug some trees, so we didn't stay as long as everyone else.

At the Horsetail Falls, you can climb down a Depression-era staircase and explore the creekbed.

Which is exactly what Carly and Poppy did, while I watched and enjoyed standing outside for ten minutes without sweating. That was AWESOME, actually. One day it got pretty warm, but other than that day (low-90's whoopee), we went an entire week without sweating. When we got back to the airport last night, by the time we went the twenty feet from the door to the car and got settled in, both girls had sweat drops on their foreheads!

That evening, we all met at Aunt Dottie's house where Carly met Kendall, her BFF for the week. They were exploring Aunt Dottie and Uncle Don's beautiful yard, and they found these shoes randomly under a bush. They decided they were fairy shoes and they were magical. =) The story is that they belong to Lilly and someone hid them from her a year ago...don't worry...my family doesn't regularly leave articles of clothing under the landscaping.

Bree got to visit with her cousin Gretchen (pictured here with G's mama Kirsten). They're almost exactly six months apart and we think they'll be good buddies in a couple of years.
