Madness

We had a great - very busy - day. First, Carly is doing AWESOME at swimming lessons. Her kicks are up high on the water, so she will not have to fight like her Daddy to keep her hips from sinking all the time and dragging her down. Yay! She's working on arms and her teacher says she has a super attitude!
**
We also had Carly's 4-year checkup today and our wonderful pediatrician said Carly looks perfect. She grew 3.5 inches this last year, so now she's 3 feet, 4 inches and 37.4 pounds. She got five shots today, which did not make her happy, but the blended chocolate whatever at the Starbucks in Barnes and Noble along with the new books we got with the gift card Grandad and Grandma Louise sent for Carly's birthday (thank you!!!) made her feel much better.
**
Then we FINALLY got to come home and hang out with our friends! It was sprinkling every now and then, but no 'funder' so we just set up the pool and let the clouds help with the playing. I love this photo...it makes me so happy! I mean...it's just perfect:
If anyone knows how to fix this blurry picture, please let me know. I wish I'd sprung for the Canon. Anyway, this is Maggie. If you don't know Maggie, THIS is Maggie. Isn't she great?
Then Little Miss Sassypants telling me that she KNOWS she's not supposed to color on the boards that Max was coloring on. It made him very sad when she disrupted his masterpiece...those are his words.
Oh hey! Baby cucumbers! I'm pretty sure one of the reasons my zucchini plants didn't grow very fast was because they were mad at me for forgetting that I planted cucumbers, not zucchinis. Feel free to laugh now, it's okay. =)
And my $75 tomato. I can't figure out what injuries this little guy sustained, but I do think it's funny how it healed itself with a pattern that looks like stitches.
Yay, art! Paint is the funnest.
Then a tea party...Bree was so excited to have been invited, and she knew just what to do!
Super Max flying around my living room. Also, the second time I am kicking myself for not having a camera that can catch a shot like this clearly.
Princess Maggie - she's honestly looks like she was born to wear dresses like this. =)
This is Carly being incredibly unimpressed with Max the dinosaur/monster/pirate.
Then the littlest princess took a turn brushing her own hair.
Yes this is the fifth set of clothes Carly wore today, not including pajamas. Yes, Maggie is wearing Carly's nightgown. They were exploring the backyard...this photo was taken just before the birdhouse met an untimely end courtesy of the t-ball bat and then Max got pushed down and everyone ended up in timeout for various reasons. Now, everyone is (FINALLY) asleep...Maggie in the tent, Carly in her bed (or so we think) and Max in the playroom. =)

Oh, no! Not the gourd birdhouse! I hope the farmer's market is open this Sat. and the vendor is back.

Poor little tomato with stitches. Made me go "oh".
