Parents aren't allowed on the pool deck during lessons except for the last day...considering Carly spent the first half hour of the 40 minute lesson waving at us and then trying to avoid eye contact because she was jumping all over the steps when she was supposed to be sitting still, we could totally understand why. Carly was so excited that her dad was able to come see her swimming.

This is Carly's sweet teacher, Miss Amanda, with the other two kids in her section. While this lesson was going on there were six other teachers in the pool with their own groups of kids all different levels, from the kids who were so scared to put their faces in the water one of them made herself throw up the whole first week, to older kids learning the butterfly in the lanes.
When you are little, sitting outside in 90-degree weather during your 8:30am naptime is the opposite of fun, but the daddy flip helps! The Daddy flip starts like this...

Yay for Carly! Caroline's starting her lessons there next week! I'm scared to death b/c her TWO sessions (=4 weeks) of lessons at the Y last year were full of her jumping in the water or going off of the steps, having to be rescued (half the time her teacher didn't even know & the other moms and I would have to yell), and then doing it again. If she doesn't learn here, I don't know what we'll do! Hope and pray she'll survive and thrive! Congrats on your little fishy!
