Carly and I took our new best friend, the Algiers Ferry, over a little early to meet Daddy in the French Market for a few minutes. We have been having the most beautiful weather, so the walk over was really nice. Carly was in the stroller (and shoeless) because she has a booboo on her ankle that makes ALL of her shoes hurt too much to walk in. Daddy bought her a lollipop, so that did help some. =)

Then! We made it just in time for the Jive on Julia headliners, the Imagination Movers! This was actually a REALLY cool shot until this guy stood up right in front of me! Gr! They closed off the whole block in front of the museum and had children's artists in all day long. It was so great!

Carly needed to go potty, and she saw the face painting area...my strange child asked for a purple spider with red eyes!

After the concert waiting for some autographs. What I didn't know was that the Imagination Movers are from this area - they were still really sweaty with all the jumping around they were doing on the stage...you know...I tried to upload a video of all the kids jumping up and down, like a mini-mosh pit - SO cool, but I'm not sure it loaded...anyway, the guys were super duper nice.

And really sweaty...if you're wondering whether Imagination Movers smell like real movers...the answer is yes, yes they do. =)

Carly wanted a photo with "the hat man, NO the BROWN hat man" but she is still totally confused about the hugging and smiling thing...but you can see how adorable the mermaid dress is!

After we got back to the "other" side of the river, we took my dirtygross car to the car wash. Carly loved the stripey stuff, but this cute face happened when the power wash kicked in.

Then...we stopped at World Market for Daddy's vino and they have a great selection of Alex toys (Mommy's favorite brand!)...we got some lacing puzzles...and she was having lemonade in her cowboy cup...the camera went off right as the doorbell rang! Carly was the queen of funny faces today!

OH! Here's the video! I'm going to warn you in advance that people were up and around the whole time, but it was such a cool scene. I loved it when all the kids (and lots of the parents!) would jump up and down...it was soooo fun!

OMG!!! I love the Imagination Movers even more than Andy does! I'm so jealous!
And I've been looking for lacy puzzles and stuff like that for Andy. Now I know where to find them!
I'm glad you have beautiful weather, Carly likes her cowboy cup AND she got some lacing cards. It's too bad the ones I sent didnt get there...
I am stuck in a snowstorm - yes, in a hotel between there and home. You are in sleeveless dresses. Let's talk again in July when I am the one with perfect weather.
OMG! THAT is the candy store/praline shop that I worked in when I lived in NOLA! It's called Southern Candymakers, and they make the best, and I mean THE BEST, pralines. Except for maybe someone's grandma's pralines. They also make peanut pirouges, which are peanuts and homemade caramel. Try 'em sometime. They are like heaven on earth.
That is so cute!! I wish we could have gone with you, Logan loves them!
