We had a big first today - Carly loves to see the photos of her baby sister and she likes to kiss them. Today, it seems like she's figured out that those pictures are of the inside of Mommy's "biiiig belly" and she decided to cut to the chase and start kissing my tummy instead of the computer screen. Right now, actually, she is hugging my stomach - and being kicked in the head by some tiny little feet - and telling her little sister that she loves her but she can't have pie-ya (pudding) because she's too tiny AND she's stuck in Mommy's belly.
It would be even better if we could actually decide what to name our little rosebud (and no, Jellybean will not work...and if you even so much as THINK "Madison" you are officially kicked out of the club).

Too cute!
The best part of this wonderful story is how important the pudding is. It's so important to a 2-year almost 3-year old and that's what makes me gasp and swallow hard. Pudding. PUDDING! Unbelievably sweet.
THAT IS SOOO SWEET!!!! And I think you should just name her Jellybean for she will always be Jellybean to me :o)
Is Madison a joke I don't know about? Picking a name is just plain hard, and I tend to think girls are harder than boys because there are many boy names that can be girl names, but no girl names that can be boy names. Does that make sense? Sometimes picking a middle name first is better and then miraculously the first name just fits-it flows, music plays, there are sunshine and lollipops...
brandi..."madison" isn't a joke, it's a royal pain in my rear. i personally know about three million (slight exaggeration) small girls named madison or madeline, both of which are bee-yoo-tiful names, but after being one of like six elizabeths in my kindergarten class (sorry mom, but i'm still burnt about being called "betsy") i didn't want to go with something quite as popular.
PLUS i said no to madison six entire months ago and it should be off the list of options, as far as the Rules Of Baby Naming go. but my dear husband keeps bringing it up among other options that we won't even discuss, so it's almost a joke in that just hearing that name makes me a little nuts.
that's all. the kid won't be named madison. what clinched that (aside from the popularity thing) was when we were at dinner with his parents and as i was walking to the bathroom he said, "oh don't worry. if it's a girl she'll be named madison."
yes. i am that stubborn. PLUS the popularity thing. =)
