Storytime With Liz and Carly

This afternoon, Carly and I went back to the library, and on the way there, I checked my overflowing voicemail for the first time in a week! I got four very sweet messages from some very surprised friends who didn't realize that when I said A LOT of beads, I meant TEN POUNDS of beads...each...and then some voicemails from family, and Carly was talking about people we haven't seen in months, so I was pretty emotional and homesick by the time we walked in the door.

Then, the first book she grabs is this one. Some of you might know what I mean when I say "we sent beads instead." Don't bother putting your sound on - I can't even read the title without getting all choked up - but do grab the tissues. We love you!!!

This was sweet! I think being home sick and emotional over the distance of your good friends is one of the hardest things about spending your life with the Marine Corps.

Were you ever a Girl Scout? If you were - remember the friend song...if you don't, ask me and I will "sing" it to you...

But my point is - remember you will always have your friends if they are the "good" ones - and you will always be on an adventure to make new ones.

But most of all - I'm sure your friends are missing you as much as you are missing them!!

Sending you a virtual hug! OOOO!!

Dear Liz, Paul, and Carly,
I know how difficult it is to leave thosae you love behind! It took me over a good year to adjust to Bah-stan! Thankfully you have such a cutie patutie by your side. That should make it a wee bit easier.
By the way, Uncle Paul was floored by Carly's art work, he said he must sit down and write her a letter. This may be the letter!!!!I wish you all the best, and just know that their are many people out there cheering uyou guys on. I love reading your blog, and seeing the photos, great work, Liz! Much Love and big kisses, Auntie Anna, and Uncle Paul xoxoxoxoxoxo
