My Little Philosopher

*Everything is just fine now*

Our house was built a long time ago, and we're pretty sure it hasn't been renovated since. You should see our light fixtures!

Anyway, the washer setup is a little awkward when it comes to where the drain hose goes and ours likes to fly out every now and then, usually during the spin cycle or whenever lots of water needs to be going down the pipe and not all over my kitchen floor.

So about half an hour ago, I hear something not quite right going on in the laundry area and when Carly and I went in there to check it out, we were greeted by a flood of biblical proportions spreading the entire length of the kitchen and starting to leak under the wall somehow to the living room. So of course I started running toward the hose to catch it and put it back where it belongs and I get about halfway across the lake that used to be our floor when I slip and fall and go sliding right into the washing machine. It probably would have been really funny to watch me try and get up a couple of times and then dive behind the washer to replace our rebel drain hose, but I can't say I really saw the humor at the time. =)

From her safe (and dry) post on the carpet, Carly tells me, "It's okay, Mom. Sometimes it happens like that."

Oh WOW- what I would have done to be a fly on THAT wall :) You know me and people falling... I can't get enough of it! :)

Glad you're okay!

Sounds just like living in Del Mar housing! They've started to actually build that, btw.

Hope you're OK!
