Apparently there is a difference between a regular parade and the kind of parade that happens in New Orleans at this time of year. Those are called krewes. Carly and I are big, huge fans and we're scheduling two, hopefully three, for today.
This morning there are two in a row, Iris and then Tucks on the same route. The second one probably isn't quite as kiddo-oriented as the first one we went to out in Metairie, but it's featuring the guy who played Chewbaca, and that is just too good to pass up. If we have to get out of there after his float, we will.
Grandparents, DON'T WORRY - these parades are rolling through the swank uptown district. No one will be flashing their somebodies around our little bead queen. And the t-shirts with icky slogans aren't an issue either because, you know, Carly can't read. =)
