Oh Kah-lissmiss Tree, Oh Kah-lissmiss Tree

Tonight, after Paul had given Carly her bath and gotten her all ready for bed, we put our ornaments on the tree! This is the first time that Carly has been old enough to help and (like you haven't heard this part eight hudred times already) the first year that Paul was actually here to help and not in the field or Iraq or Japan or a million other places. So YAY for new traditions! It was so fun!

This photo is a bit blurry, sorry. "Kalyn Was Right" I should have picked the same exact camera I had last time instead of the one that comes in cute colors. My bad.
ANYWAY, today is the day we "decallated" our tree! The Living room had to be reorganized a little bit, but we like it this way! Carly was VERY excited to put all of the pretty ornaments on the tree! Christmas is so fun with a toddler! Can you see her pointing out the crookedness of the tree? She's a mess!
We worked so hard to get our old tree to stand up straight...it's almost there! Carly was applauding Paul and telling him what a bee zhab he was doing, while our accidentally patriotic ornaments were waiting to be hung. =)
Daddy and Carly hung the first ornament - my favorite Santa Kah-lause - together.
Then Carly did one all by herself!
I think it's cute how there are a row of ornaments on the lowest branches. Right after this photo was taken, Carly asked for my camera, put it on the couch, handed me an ornament and said, "Mommy help you me too?" What could I say to that?
Then up to the star! Which in our house is actually a sparkly snowflake...
All done for today!
This one is courtesy of Carly. =)

Looks like a good time and a pretty tree. Also, I like your curtains. Take them with you; they'll remind you of California. There's not that much sun in Louisiana.

I love Carly's pronouns "you me too". She'd be GREAT at spanish!
