aka "Disneyland!"
It. Was. Awesome.
We were in line for Casey the Train and I saw Goofy, Geppetto and Pluto come walking up. I sent Paul and Carly over to say hi and apparently, Carly walked right up to Geppetto and gave him a big hug!
THEN!!! Little did we know, they were there to grant some wishes for a Year of a Million Dreams!!! Carly got to ride on the Dumbo ride with Geppetto!!!
And Geppetto was so great! He gave her lots of hugs and high-fives and walked with her and laughed with her.
Okay, maybe THIS will be our Christmas photo (I've only had the envelopes addressed for SIX WEEKS...hopefully I'll actually mail them before we move!)
We checked off all but two rides in Fantasyland - this is the big ticket item, it's a small world! The line looks way longer than it acutally is, and Carly had a good time pointing out ALL the shapes on the castle.
Funky self-portrait on our little boat. Carly was sitting between us...but my aiming skillz aren't that advanced.
At the end - so pretty!
Then, right as our turn ended, the clock started chiming and all the little dolls came marching out.
And THEN! About ten minutes later, it was all of a sudde dark and they lit up the castle! Carly said "Whoooooaaah."
After a brief stop in Tomorrowland (if we had two days, we'd be back there right now checking out all the familiar characters...well, and Critter Country to see Pooh Bear.) we decided it was a good time to find a spot to see the parade. This is the big pahlincess castle all snowy and lit up for the nighttime.
When she saw the first float!
She looked at me for about two seconds, but then Geppetto, her new BFF, came around the corner! Look at that little face!!
Daddy was in charge of picking out the Mickey Mouse hat while Carly and I held our spot for the parade. I bet Carly loved this sparkly pink princess Mickey hat WAY better than the boring old plain black one that Mommy would have picked out. She's wearing it right now, actually.
After that last photo, I said, "Oh no! I need two smiles!" And so Carly cheeeeeesed!
One happy and tuckered out little girl.
We had a BLAST! It was a perfect day - not too cold, not so crowded, Carly got to see some of her favorite folks and Mommy got to see all the pretty decorations. We both loved seeing her face just light up when she saw someone she recognized! It was so great!!!
