Wildfires Again

Hi everyone,
We're still fine. =) It's kind of creepy because the smoke clouds that were around us last night are now over us and everything looks yellow. It's still really dark outside, so Carly's sleeping in. I'm not going to complain about having to stay inside our house that is not burned or threatened; we'll just put up some silly pictures later.

The fire nearest to us (the Rice Fire) is one of the areas that calmed down a little bit over night. Today they're going to be using helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft to continue fighting it and if the weather holds, we should see considerable progress today.

Other areas weren't so fortunate, and the border fire (Harris) is spreading as is the Witch fire, which affected our relatives in Poway.

The one good thing that is coming out of this is the number of people showing up to help and donate stuff to evacuees. The news said there are 10,000 people at Qualcomm and as many volunteers.
