Hello everyone! Paul is back in Okinawa and getting settled in after being rained on for a month in Northern Japan. He's doing well and is thinking of running a half marathon next weekend, because he's in disgustingly good shape and can do those kinds of things on a whim.
As most of you know, we're waiting to hear what his next job is going to be and we should have some more information next week. We're hoping for orders by the end of this month. If Paul is assigned to Anglico, he'll be coming home in November, and if he's getting another job, we're looking at a return date sometime in the first two weeks of December. Either way, we're VERY excited to be counting down the days.
Okay...I think that's it. You know Carly is doing great - she was such a super trooper today, running errands to seven different places from 10:30 to 2 with no complaints! We're keeping very busy, with our Big Adventure Days and her Wee Start kids' gym and planning for our upcoming Halloween Party. In fact, as we were shopping for decorations and searching to find cute, non-scary ones, Carly kept laughing at "the silly man" which was this terrifying flying ghoul thing with light-up eyes. She said he was wearing wipes, which is her word for toilet paper. She laughed at the decapitated heads, too, and said "That silly man forgot his tummy! You silly man!"
We're still looking for bear ears on a headband, so if you find one, let me know!
Take care!

Elizabeth, cut felt or that rubberized craft sheet stuff (not the official name)into bear ears, cut a slit at the bottom so it will bend forward into an ear shape, and glue or sew these to a headband. Or, glue them to hair barrettes. Whadya think?
