We have tomatoes! This is the most mature out of all of them and I'm very, very excited!
This is nothing like the rows of big healthy zucchini and beans that I grew up with, but at least they aren't brown sticks like they were two months ago.

Another growing tomato - I think this one is an heirloom. Or one of the shi-shi purple kind.

Grape tomatoes! So exciting!!!

After Carly and I got done celebrating our horticultural success, a couple of boys showed up out of nowhere! Their names are Damien and Joey and they were really good at sharing and helping for a three and four year old.

Very shortly after this photo was taken, the boys got a little overzealous with the helping and Carly took a tumble, so we decided that it was time to end our little playdate. By that time they had been at my house for half an hour with no sign of parents (!) so we went in search of their house which is fortunately just behind our cul de sac.
Carly said "Bye, boys! See you later!"
