Mini-Playdate with El

When we finally arrived in Dillon, we were happy to see that my mom's friends Laurie and Eric and their daughter Eleanor hadn't left yet for the airport and we got to hang out with them for a little bit.
I love the look El (that's what her mom calls her - Carly calls her Ebadoah) is giving me!
The girls played this fun game where Carly would take the washers out of the box, hand them over to Eleanor and E would put them back in the box! They really got a kick out of that game and we're bummed that El and her family will be gone the whole time Carly and I are here!
You can see in the background evidence of Eleanor's dad's "structure" as it is known around the college campus where practically everyone on my mom's street teaches. He's been working on it for a long time and it's starting to come together. I really love it because there are millions of windows. Carly loves it because there are gigantic bolts like this one lying around for her to wield like scary window-shattering swords.
Trying to figure out how to take the bolt apart.
