And Carly Makes It All Better

Carly's current favorite book is about a bunch of animals who break into a little boy's house and do all sorts of funny things, like two cows baking "moo pies" and four lambs dancing with pants. At the end of the book, the little boy's mama is yelling at all the animals to get out and she's pointing at the halfway open door, with the other hand on her head in what most grownups would recognize as "I am so frustrated right now!" body language.

But not Carly. She looks at the picture and says this: "Ohh, thee ladle-ee owee thee door! She owee thee head, she no shut thee door. Carly kiss it." Then she leaned over and kissed the picture, patted it and said this: "All better, ladle-ee? Shut door, ladle-ee. See-foe." (see-foe means "careful")

We have such a sweet little girl! A little bossy, maybe, but she's just trying to help. =)

Your Carly stories always bring a smile to my face. She is so considerate and wants everyone to be ok. I love that.
