Happy Birthday to Maggie!

Maggie turned two last Thursday and she had a party at her house! They're leaving next week and we will miss them so much, but fortunately, they're going to Virginia for a year, so we can see them when we're in Philly visiting.
The pool was a HUGE HIT for all of the kids but I was a little wary of managing two toddlers that don't both belong to me, so my chicks stayed in their party dresses. Max, on the other hand, preferred the au natural look.
For some reason, these pictures are posting really small! But Carly's dress was so pretty with tiny little polka dots...it doesn't fluff out nearly so well when it's soaking wet (as you'll see).
She almost figured out how to sneak in the side of the pool, but then she was distracted by
The WATER TABLE!!! She's totally getting this for her birthday. She loved it!
Splash, splash!
Such a mess. And it was COLD in the shade! She was completely soaked and I should have known better and packed a change of clothes. But I forgot. Marina stayed perfectly clean and pressed the whole time even though she played in the sand and ate cake with her hands, but Carly is a different story!
Baby Heather soaking up the sunshine with her mama.
And big brother, Sir Jack, was guarding the fortress!
Carly also loved this rocking seahorse.
Okay, now I told you my friend Michelle was a genius, right? LOOK at this cake!!! There are teddy grahams floating around in gummy lifesavers and laying on fruit rollup lawnchairs on their island of graham cracker crumbs. So cute!!!
Back at the seahorse, but this time with Andy. And her dress! It's Maggie's.
Maggie with her tiara, getting a little help from her papa opening some gifts.
Ooh! Princess stuff!
She got tons of sparkly wings and crowns and fairy wands...but her favorite thing of all was the box of dinosaurs that her parents gave her.
Later that night, we went to Chick-Fil-A for our super-classy Friday night out. There was a family sitting next to us with five boys all under about ten and Carly loved them. When we left, she said "bye-bye boys!"
This is from Wednesday afternoon, but it's just so cute. We all went to Ralph's after we picked up JJ from school because we'd been in the house all day and the girls were going stir crazy. JJ is such a sweet big brother.
