Old Town

We took the Coaster down to San Diego's Old Town district today, and I can't believe we've never been here before - it's such a cute little area with cool shops and restaurants. We had a good time walking around and just looking at everything. It was kind of chilly, but when the wind wasn't blowing, it was nice. Here is Carly marching to keep up with our friends.
She thought the water was so funny.
Carly and her new boyfriend, Jaxson (he loves her) sharing some pretzels. He would get very upset if the rest of the group got too far ahead of Carly and her leisurely pace.
Carly and Jaxson learning how to make tortillas at the restaurant where we stopped for lunch.
They stuck us, along with all other groups with children, in the back room, but it was okay. We had a strolling guitarist! He sang us "Something happy for the kids" and I don't know what it was about other than del sol. Carly loved it, though.
She even looked for him when he was singing "La Bamba" at another table nearby. Yes, her face and sweater are a mess, but she was eating beans and hates having her face cleaned, so in trying to avoid as much drama as possible, we only wipe the face once per meal.
On the train ride back home. Do you see how dirty the knees of her tights are?
That's my kind of girl! We aren't raising a fussy princess over here.
Carly loves Miss Jacque.
