Chatterbean!

Carly has lots of new words this week...some highlights are:

Patchoo (Patrick), YaYa (the new way to say Alanna), Gaggie (Maggie), Mmmmak (Max), Ahh-mee (Molly). Carly loves her friends. The ladies at the church and gym childcare always tell us how good her social skills are. We figure it's because she's always hanging out with her friends from our Mommy group...it's either that or our truly excellent parenting.

Other new words: cracker, water, you're welcome (way-coh, which she now says in place of thank you - oops), splash, drum, helping (hepp), coloring (co-RING), hair (hayds) and finally, poop.

Carly also knows and understands "work," as in "Daddy is at..." It's so sad for us because we're going to have to say that sentence a lot and for a long time. But I read somewhere that kids Carly's age don't have a great concept of time, and since she knows that work is somewhere Daddy goes all the time and that he always comes home from work eventually, it is probably really good for her to know right now - especially while he's still around for sixty-five more hours.
