Monday Morning

We had two big events in our house last night! First, Carly said "Mommy" for the first time ever in her whole life! She never really was one for Mama or any of that stuff, so it was really sweet when I went to let her out of her carseat and she held up both of her hands and said "Mommeeee!"

The next big event was that Carly got her very first baby doll! She loves her! She's been carrying her around all morning giving her kisses and patting her little plastic head.

And Carly got a new tee shirt! This was the last one in 18M and we've been waiting for months for it to show up in a size that fits her. Usually we don't go for the attitude tees, but this one is sweet. Plus it's sparkly!
Carly's very favorite thing to do first thing in the morning is pull all of her books out of the bookshelf one by one, and then read the first two pages of each one.

What a pretty baby.
And again with the shirt! I love it. There is a picture somewhere of me at about this age and at this moment, Carly looks exactly like I did.
