Sunday Story

That's what Carly called her Sunday School today...I guess there were lots of stories.

Anyway, we're trying to find a church which means lots of visiting. The church we visited this morning was really pretty and very small. They were having a special Sunday to celebrate being back in the sanctuary after repairs due to damage sustained in the hurricane. Part of the celebration was a special music performance by the children of the church and the adult choir.

The seven children, four of whom are cousins, went up to the front of the church with the adult choir, which is made up of five elderly gentlemen and three elderly ladies with fabulous brooches. At first, Carly was mesmerized by the shiny pins, but right as the piano was starting to play, Carly noticed the one man with an eye patch and she said in her very clear, very LOUD voice, "Look, Mommy! It's a PIRATE!!!"

Fortunately, the pirate is also a pediatrician with an excellent sense of humor, but he and I were the only people laughing. Okay, he and I and now you. =)

Yes, I am now laughing.
When we pulled up to church today, Andy said, "That church is perfect."
I guess Sunday School is doing its job here too!
